The Sixth Sichuan TV Festival was held in Chengdu from October 27 to October 31, 2001. In program trading, intentional contracts were reached for 1,530 overseas TV programs (episodes) and exporting 3,621 TV programs (episodes) to overseas, with a turnover of 3.62 million USD. Various TV programs sales among domestic film and television organizations reached 8,313 (episodes), with a turnover of 237 million RMB. A total of 342 TV documentaries participated in this year's competition. Sichuan TV Festival was a showcase of the achievements and strength of China's broadcasting industry and served as one of the main channels for the import and export of TV programs and broadcasting equipment, and a window for foreign cooperation and exchange.
