The 8th Sichuan TV Festival was held in Chengdu Convention and Exhibition Center from November 26 to November 28, 2005. More than 5,000 guests from 33 countries and regions around the world, as well as 1614 organizations from China attended the Festival this year. By the end of the festival, intentional contracts totaling 554 million RMB had been reached through various trading activities. In the International Film and TV Program Market, 1522 Chinese and foreign film and television organizations from 22 countries and regions, as well as 3628 representatives attended the program market. Among them, 163 were overseas institutions and 383 overseas representatives. According to rough statistics, during the three-day program trade, the intentional signing of the introduction of various overseas TV programs reached 2,471 (episodes), with an estimated turnover of RMB 8 million; the export of various TV programs to overseas reached 3,715 (episodes), with an estimated turnover of USD 6 million.
